I want to share an update with my Sea Otter Swim Academy families. I was recently accepted into Paramedic school, and I am incredibly excited and proud to take this next step in advancing my career in Emergency Medical Services.
Because Paramedic school is an intensive, full-time program, I will not have the availability to offer swim lessons during the 2026 summer swim season.

Teaching swim lessons and helping children build confidence and safety in the water has been such a meaningful part of my life, and I am so grateful for the wonderful families who have trusted me with their children. While I will truly miss being in the water with our swimmers this summer, I know that the advanced medical knowledge and clinical skills I gain through paramedic school will ultimately make me an even stronger instructor and water safety educator.

My plan is to return to teaching lessons in Summer 2027 after completing the program. In the meantime, I am happy to provide referrals to other trusted swim instructors and I am always available if families have questions or need help troubleshooting any aquatic or water safety concerns.
